      ... br> Three main industries in Guanajuato are silver mining, tourism, and the main business, the State university. The large number of students give the city a great vibrancy. The school of music and culture is close to the centre of town so music is everywhere. Not only that, there is an endless supply of musicians for the Mariachi bands which hit the restaurants every night.

      ... how long I would actually run after it. Well, after a half-block or so, a very nice gentleman that was walking down the side walk saw my situation and . . . gotta love Mexicans! . . . started running after it as it passed by him. He started to stop it with his foot, but I think he realized that he'd soak his foot, so then he got a little ahead of it, bent down, and scooped it up!!! Phew!! I ran up to him and gave him the most sincere MUCHAS GRACIAS ...

      ... and the only thing I really did there was eat!

      And that was pretty much that – the hat trick of colonial, world heritage sites, which you can walk round in about 20 minutes, leaving the natural things to do – sleep, eat and drink! Was good to have a bit of the relaxation time in San Miguel, followed by the partying in Guanajuato – the less said about Queretaro the better!

      Next stop – jungle, waterfalls, sculpture gardens, rainforest and a damp tipi… ...

      ... to Dolores and San Miguel. It was very similar to the day trip I took last year before classes started.       ... was delicious - a molcajete to share, Two kinds of crepes, stuffed poblano chiles, spaghetti and arrachera steak. The restaurant was built to look like a church, even though it never was one. We took our time to eat our wonderful meals and then proceeded on to the Museum of Mummies.
