We got the impression that things were slightly off when the owner of the hotel didn't allow us to have a key........odd we thought, but we had to dash out to buy a new camera so didn't give it much thought. ... and pretty streets. The town is full of tourists and mostly USA expats. It doesn’t look like Guatemala at all and has its personal and unique feel. We highly recommend it to visit!

Day one
... we may be switching from staying at the hotel we were originally planning to stay at, to staying at the orphanage itself...but that is still up in the air. We will just take things one day at a time....but if you dont see a blog on Monday night, its because we have moved to the orphanage....and we will update the blog on Friday or as able...

Antigua again.
Relying on the alarm again to get us up. Thankfully no rain so our departure from Caye Caulker was in sunshine. An over crowded water taxi took us to Belize city. Our stay at the water taxi terminal was made more amusing by a potted history lesson from "prince (ray) charles" - a wiley Belizean gent. Barnie became an unofficial Belizean ambassador as a result of his instruction. I wish there was a trades description act in Belize. If so we ...
