    ... one of the smaller villages; it is a very artistic town with many art galleries and textile shops. We found some amazing artists and bought a few of their paintings to bring back with us.

    Guatemala has definitely been the highlight of Central America so far - the people are so warm and friendly. We only had 7 nights here but could definitely have spent longer - highly recommend this place!

    May 18th San Pedro to Antigua.The time came for us to get the shuttle to Antigua. We had watched the Moto GP on the tv at 6am and saw Rossi come 2nd. We said a teary good bye to Luis and Letty and with backpacks on walked the 2km to the jetty and had breakfast.     ... Man United or for exploding chocolate all over the kitchen. We were had lots of local beers and soaked up the Antingua atmosphere before packing our gear for the trip to El Salvador. The 5.30am start afforded us the most amazing views of the volcanoes including Volcan Fuego launching plumes of smoke into the air as the sun rose.     ... legs were strapped in, and with Raju on the line next to me, we flew! Arms out stretched, we flew over the trees. And it went for ages. It is the closest I have ever come to flying and I loved it.
