Stranded in St Moritz
... and pavements. It was like climbing over mountains at times.
I had the normal Swiss breakfast which seems to consist of bread, rolls and cold meats and cheese. One thing they seem to offer for the bread is chocolate spread but they never seem to have butter!! Do the Swiss not eat such things as butter??

After a few more photos from the cliff edge I finally decided it’s time to make tracks and so I boarded the car back down to base station at Andermatt. Stepping out of the cable car the warm temperature suddenly hits you. It’s not really that warm but being use to the cold at the top makes it seem warm back here at base.

Chur and the train trip to Morges
... side. Now a race against time it's 11:49 - check out for the hotel is 12noon and the train goes to Morges at 12:16. We get to the hotel at 12:01 get our bags and board the train at 12:15 - now that is to the minute timing! We have to make a change at Zurich and Camille had only downloaded up to the 12.09 train, so with a bit of guess work using the previous train times, we managed to make the connection with about 8 minutes to spare! Not much in Lichtenstein
... scenery, although most of it was blocked by a thick wall of cloud. After less than an hour I was in Lidau, a town on the edge of the big Lake Bodensee in the south of Germany (the lake borders Germany, Austria and Switzerland!). Davos
... a run. It was a beautiful day out and the valley with its autumn colours was especially pretty. We got back in time to have a pancake breakfast cooked by Allison which was very tasty. We were all going to go for a hike that morning so we marched off towards town and the lift that would take us up one of the local mountains. The hike was mostly downhill and quite enjoyable with some really nice views. We even spotted some Steinbock grazing on the mountain slopes ...
