This morning we have left Torre Grande et are now anchored off in Porto Flavia. Our arrival was rather complicated as ...

The next morning the weather forecast made us move towards the town of Torre Grande. We had lunch at a restaurant in the harbor. They had a seafood item on the menu I had never tried before, Sea Anemone! It was delicious, I just hope I didn't eat poor Nemo's ...

... They have an amazing bar in a very popular area at the top of Piazza Yenne. They treated us to glasses of Prosecco, Mojitos, Is Solus (red wine) and finally a couple of glasses of (25 year old) Scotch Whiskey. We soaked all the alcohol up with a huge plate of antipasto filled with local cheeses, fine salami and prosciutto. Their daughter, the foreign exchange student, was actually unavailable that night, but we made plans to see her our last ...

... likely at breakfast time! Then some small sweet pastries: marzipan, orange cake, almond macaron and a sticky fruit cake with hard icing. Strange but interesting . After this our waiter bought out a myrtle liqueur each. Myrtle is a local type of berry which is used in a lot of Sardinian foods from jams to cheeses etc. We walked back to the car , we have noticed quite a few refugees from Africa, they are all on street corners trying to ...
