We have a flight tomorrow from Sardinia to Trapani in Sicily. We have to drop off the rental at 10.00 am then catch our flight on Ryan Air at 12.10 lunchtime. So we're staying at Eduardo's place at Molentargius again. When we arrived the Pink Flamingo's were there in the estuary again striding about eating shellfish, they don't like us up close trying to get a photo, they just take off flying! Today we got up and decided to just go into a smaller city nearby, Oristano, probably the third largest city here in Sardinia. On every booked table sat our starters :a salad of local octopus, mullet, celery and olives in a lemon olive oil. A chilled grilled whole mullet, another platter of cold boned fillets of mullet soused ...

We stopped in the town of Nuoro for lunch goods and went to the information center to see where there was a nice place to picnic. We drove a good 20 minutes longer but found a ...

... mainland Spain, with the Marmite in the hold luggage and of course, it was far hotter than the UK! I couldn't wait to get in the water and was somewhat upset to find that the jelly fish seemed to have followed me from the Azores! The stings weren't quite so bad this time and the vinegar came in handy. We left them in Ibiza and have been enjoying swimming since then, though there are very few fish to see compared to ...
