The cathedral has many intricate stained glass windows that are made from small pieces of glass. We diid a little souvenir shopping then went back to the river. This is where the oldest continuous operating restaurant by the same family is located. It was started 900 years ago to feed sausage ,sauerkraut and beer to the workers on ...
Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany tucsonjohn... deal with that anymore. On Saturday the 22rd we're going to Munich to partake in the opening day of Oktoberfest! I'm really looking forward to that since I've never been. The next day we are hopping a train to Berlin, staying a few days, then flying to St. Petersburg. The first part of our adventure has been nothing short of fantastic. Combined with last year's three month trip we've now done a total of six months of touring Europe and are ready for something completely different ...
Landshut, Germany vagabonderz... aggressive drivers. Although it belongs to France, for all intents and purposes it may as well be part of Italy. The look and feel of the towns and buildings scream "bongiorno" at you. During peak season, this statement is punctuated by the hoards of Italian tourists that descend upon the cities and beaches of the small island, flaunting their newest designer clothes, D&G sunglasses, and "fashionable" mullets (females too). The work of separatist groups is evident as ...

There is a lot to do for us in regards to organizing the rest of our travels before we head down under, namely researching some accommodations in Greece (we are flying so will be without Freda) and also researching the logistics for our southeast Asia portion (i.e. visas). Well, at least this is our official excuse for hanging around here; I think an underlying factor is also the comfort of a home! So, one ...
Landshut, Germany vagabonderz... of the more modern ones we enjoyed - you sit in a pod that you can turn 360 degrees and both have laser guns to shoot at enemies as you go through space. Big-boy roller-coasters 'Big Thunder Mountain' and 'Space Mountain 2' were exciting, although Yvonne couldn't see much with her eyes shut tight, clinging to my arm like Velcro (on the latter, it was so breathtaking she couldn't even muster any screams). We were entertained by a stage musical of 'The Lion King' and a 3-D experience ...
Landshut, Germany vagabonderz... when they do... I also had a Bavarian classic for my beverage: weissbier (white beer) and cola...interestingly refreshing! And to top it all off - not that I left any room for dessert, but - some fabulous carrot/chocolate chip cake Babette made, and which taunted and tortured me as it sat in my lap on the drive over. Can't wait for the leftovers...
Landshut, Germany vagabonderz... views! Then I took SBahn to Marien Platz again and went shopping! That night there was a "Farewell Party" at the beer garden in Freising. Weihenstephan is the oldest brewery in the world.

http://www.weihenstep haner.de/index.php?page=home_2_1_1& PHPSESSID=
