We started out early today- needed to catch the 8am train to Cologne. The train was a nice ride. Took us 2.5 hours. The beautiful and enormous Cathedral was near the train station. ... never to go on that kind of tour, no matter how decrepit we become. We have enough independence in us to resist such a tour. It sounded ghastly. ... in we head over the bridge covered in padlocks to visit the cathedral. It must have been one of the few buildings to remain after Cologne was heavily bombed.

We traveled further along the Rhine, towards Bonn, our campsite is about 10miles from Bonn near Konigswinter (East of the Rhine), for a site close to the city its not very busy and therefore quite quiet.
