... whose wellfare is looked after by a melodious female voice inside my head telling me to take a turn to the left, go straight ahead despite the bad condition of the road...
I`ve come to trust this voice completely...It belongs to Nong, after all, who looked after me all last winter while I was living it up in Thailand. She would drag me upstairs after collapsing early morning at the foot of her stairs blind drunk on cheap Thai whisky, guiding me back to a hangover ...
So the Landy is all ready. Now we have to concentrate on the camping gear, and all the stuff needed for the rally itself.
We wanted to ...
... at Rosie and Waldemar's only to discover that they were waiting for us...oops. We built a fire and roasted weiners and marshmallows, which was the perfect break from traditional german fare...even if they don't have relish, and only dijon mustard! And the crunchy french fried onions on the hotdogs was a little different too, and since when do weiners come in a jar! But anyway...it was good...even if the marshmallows were really goopy :) The kids had too ...

Paderborn, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany kmwest422... t too exciting, but it was nice to be doing normal day-to-day things with Claudia - pushing the shopping cart around, picking out what you want for dinner. Much better than online chatting . . .
Claudia made some goulash with pasta for dinner (YUM!) and I started to organize my things for the trip back. We realized that two weeks had gone by far too quickly. Tomorrow will be a day in Paderborn!!
... we ended up walking for about an hour and a half instead of 20 minutes...ah well!! On Wednesday, we had our German test, which I failed miserably...hehe I signed my name and left as did the rest of the Canadians! We're all in a class with about 20 other students and our prof M. Kuhlmann (Mel and Joe, was it him that you had??!!) is horrible!! We spent 3 hours learning not the alphabet nor numbers, but how to say Kanada ist in Nord Amerika and how to pronounce Europa (which is ...
Paderborn, Germany natfatica... The soft clay and marl layers disappeared (this is how the long valleys of the TeurtoburgerWald were formed) whilst the harder rock stratum remained in the form of mountain ridges or it was "skeleted" into ribbed rocks (the Externstein reveal part of this process). In the long valley behind the Externstein, the water was dammed and broke through the sandstone chain at the point of the Wiembeck valley. Thus a transverse valley was created between the Klinckerhagan and ...
