... which is a Flemish beef stew cooked in local Bruges beer. Mum had the steak. Mine was better by a country mile. Yum! Mum had a Gulden Draak, which was the coffee-flavoured beer my stew was cooked in, while I had a beer which was supposed to be sweet and fruity. It tasted like beer, but didn't appear to be too bad at first...until I tried Mum's. That was much better! I ended up struggling through mine and drinking half of Mum's. We walked home and fell asleep listening to the church ...
