    ... how deep the water was and I wasn't volunteering to wade it find out, as we were on our own we decided to reverse out and retrace our steps. Back at the main road we drove into Keramoti to catch a ferry to Thassos, one of Greece's greenest and gentle islands. It has sandy beaches hidden in rocky coves and pine clad mountains.
