Hi

We had a long flight from Toronto to Frankfurt and then to Madrid. Usually we can sleep on an overnight flight, but not this time!

We only had an overnight in Madrid and only the evening in Madrid. We travelled with Barb and Guy Merseraeau and met up with Charles and Anne Dymond in the hotel. These are both long time friends.< …

Well we have arrived. We had a long overnight flight to Madrid and neither of us was able to sleep on the plane, so we were a little tired. We met Barb and Guy Mersereau at the airport and travelled together.

We arrived at the hotel mid afternoon, had a little nap and then I went out for a walk around the hotel.

... luego caminamos por el puerto, entrando por la Vía Laiteana al barrio Gotico. Excelente, los mejores bracitos , cafés, etc están ahi. Luego por La Rambla hacia el mercado de la Boqueria. Excelente. Nos comímos unos jamones al paso. Seguimos hacia La Sagrada Familia, pasando por La Batló y La Pedrera. Día 3 Siempre tomando un buen desayuno en lo de Fabi y Ganesh, complementando el mejor cafe en "Sanwichez", lugar increíble. Mirar ...

... Upon my return from Eastern Europe, I will spend the remainder of my time here in Barcelona and look forward to simply enjoying a city I know well, and look forward to sharing it with someone other than myself for once. It will be nice to get to know a familiar city with someone else.
