... the city. I found out later that it is actually the third largest city in Spain, so that probably has something to do with it. I was also surprised by the seamless mix of the modern and the historical that was present throughout the entire city. Of course, the surprise meal we had at Yuso is thrown in there too (which I thoroughly enjoyed and I will definitely be having more surprise meals in further travels). Valencia was definitely my favorite city in Spain.

I heard later from people who got close to the pole that the grease smelt disgusting and people were getting it flicked into their eyes causing instant pink eye.
