We took a walk into the local village, Capmany, this morning, found the cafè/bar and got an ice cream and found the deli and got lunch, a nice walk around the narrow streets before we headed back to the site. After lunch we had a game of pétanque and chilled out in the sun. This evening we will pack up ready for our move tomorrow for the first of our longer stays.

... to be a very popular place for wind surfers and paddle boarding as the coast is almost like a lagoon here and you would think it very sheltered and safe, but it must get windy. We decide to have a stroll into near by Leucate about 850m and it is fairly straight forward really, with a few small shops cafes/restaurants and a bread shop for the morning, so we are all set. Then on to Caranca Gorge again for the night of the 14th October. A rest day next day with barbecue, loads of sun and the short walk following the ...

... by huge eggs! Looked good though. There was an enthusiastic line up to enter, including bus loads of Chinese visitors, and it was somewhat crowded throughout the vast maze of rooms that poured forth all things Dali! This feast encompasses all manner of surprises, tricks, illusion and heavy symbolism. Humour and madness united. There was also the touching constant theme of depictions of his muse and wife Gala, his love of ...

Cadaques - unexpected gem on our way to Nice

Sad to say goodbye to Tossa- last look in the morning light and in the car for the "short drive" only 110 klms to Cadaques. Google doesn't account for the sign for the tollway becoming the regional road - even when we turned back ???? Then next day we counted the 18 roundabouts from the main road through o the Cadaques exit and THEN 13 klms of extremely narrow windy road down the mountain , don't know how the tourist coaches do it but glad we ...
