... breakfast!! This was a very welcome addition to the breakfast for me, considering how hard it is to find anywhere in Europe. After breakfast, we tried to go back to the room to grab our coats but the cleaner wouldn’t let us because it was between 10 and 12:30. Eventually, he said we could come back in 15 minutes when our floors would be dry. We had to go and sit down for a bit and wait. Then we headed back to the room, grabbed our coats and headed out.

After breakfast, we were loaded onto a bus with our guide for the day and headed for the canals where we would board a small canal boat for a tour. On the way we were given plenty of sight-seeing background about the city and how it functions, which is surprisingly well considering the anarchic way the traffic flows with the huge number of bikes!
