... German, we had a great conversation. He mentioned that he loves where he lives because he can see beautiful scenery every day, and he is not bored of it. Again, I am so amazed to meet different people along the way, and this makes these moments of the moto tours very special.
Next Destination: Basel, Switzerland and hopefully there will be no rain on the way. I know the route very well and I am looking forward to a great ride.

We were woken at half 4 by rain and thunder so we brought Prego in. We dropped back off to sleep before being awoken again at 6ish by another storm. It's hard to believe it didn't actually soak the van, considering the noise! A lazy morning, after interrupted sleep, in cloud-enveloped mountainss, so a quick shower and cuppas before attempt number 2 at ...
... illuminated. We gave up trying to catch a photo as the camera / iPhones just weren't quick enough but believe us, it was spectacular! We keep having to pinch ourselves we're here! Jon said "now we can say we've witnessed a thunderstorm in the Austrian Alps.... Tick!!" We finished dinner and had a lovely evening of blog / kindle in the awning with a compilation of Moby, Morcheeba, Macy Gray and a non-M named Dido before bed. Goodnight ...
