... Bay but without the water of course. At 7.30am we pull into one of the few stations on the route, Gua Musang, dominated by huge sheer limestone cliffs with great holes in their rocks as if made by some giant limestone cliff-pecker. The cliffs are a sight to behold. The town isn't.

The jungle continues for a couple more hours. Just outside Gua Musang is what I might call real poverty. A small group of dwellings piled hopelessly on top of ...

Dan being a really bad backseat driver was especially pleased and gave him a 20% tip which could tell he really appreciated :) The fare cost us RM70 before tip (£14)for the 50 minute trip to Kota Bharu. We arrived somewhat intrepidly at the Tune Hotel, probably most easily compared as SE Asia's version of the Easyjet hotel, which cost us the grand price of ...

... and bigger ones. Probably with bigger ones there will be an element of an adrenaline rush but with these ones it was just fascinating to watch them glide through the water. Not everyone on the trip with us managed to see a shark due to them being a bit shy and very quick so we felt quite lucky. As it was within the first hour or so of being in the water it made the whole day worthwhile and if we had to go back at that point we would have been happy. The day got even ...
