... bus north of KB to the Tumpat district to visit a couple of Buddhist temples there. Although nothing special or amazing it was strange just seeing them in a predominantly Muslim country where you normally just see mosques. Back in KB i then called in at a Tesco superstore on the outskirts of town just to compare it with our own. Surprisingly there wasn’t a great deal of difference with the goods and produce on display and for sale.

... we were woken up by a funny sound, a sort of squeaky clicking, we had a head torch on the bed as Nath had put the mosquito net up (you need a torch to find your way out if you need to abandon ship in the middle of the night, we learnt that the hard way) so I shone it on the wall. An enormous silvery shark was skulking along the very bottom of the reef, weaving menacingly through the corrals. Well when I say enormous, it was probably about a meter long.
