... we hit the jungle scenery. So, obviously, while our carriage full of colourfully dressed Muslim women and children and young men all diligently sleep through the night I spend from 3am to 6am wide awake watching the darkness with only my own thoughts for company, willing the sun to rise on a brand new day.

At 7am Liza pokes me awake and the jungle is out there, speeding past. I see no monkeys. Just lots and lots of greenery and scenery a bit ...

... But at least they broke on an island where shoes aren't a necessity. Our first full day we were up bright and early and on the beach soaking up the sun, reading and generally doing what you do on an island - not very much.
