There are some great outdoor paths here but as I found out while running this morning, priority goes to cyclists and dog walkers. We have found the locals to be very friendly and helpful in making recommendations, however directions are sometimes a challenge to follow as streets aren't always labelled and don't match up with the maps. ... The trip to the Plitvice lakes was about four or five hours, including a toilet stop that turned into a lunch stop, not far from the lakes.
