Demain matin, Je prendrai le train de retour à Geneve, et la mouche de retour aux Etats-Unis. Je souhaite que je pourrais dépenser plus de temps dans Lausanne, parce que le c'est ma ville préférée des vacances. J'ai voulu visiter la Suisse à parce que de la beauté, naturelle et fabriqué par l'homme, de la nation, et je me sens comme j'a jeté un coup d'oeil à juste cette beauté de la nation, mais je planifie sur revenir ici un jour.

When we had first organised our trip, we had looked at getting a Swiss Pass along with our Eurail Pass but had been told it wasn't worth us getting. After working out what we wanted to do and talking to the information people at the train station, we decided to get a 4 day Swiss Pass- with this, we got a free family card which allowed the kids to basically travel free. This made it totally worthwhile for us.

... Point, only to discover that there was no cheap accomodation left and the only places available was 4 and 5 star hotels. So long chat on the phone to Lucy's mum and she said she would pay for us to stay in a nice hotel and send her the bill. What a treat! Lausanne was a really charming city with an excellent atmosphere and wonderfully clean air. So despite staying there for a short peroid of time, I cant wait to go back!

... and went to bed. I had the phone overnight again, but once again, it didn't ring, so it's all good.
On Monday, I taught my classes and then after lunch I did some work in my classroom- copying and so on. At 2:45, we loaded up three buses and a bunch of vans with all the kids and staff and took off for Montreux for the Jazz Festival. Really I think it could be called the shopping festival or something instead, because I didn't see much live music, but I saw ...

... He even lifted up his walking stick... It's adorable in a way. The castle de Chillon was quite amusing. The whole place reminds me of all those movies I saw, now I have a new found love for castles. I wanna read about Lord Byron, I wanna go find out who François de Bonivard is ... Savoy, Bernice and all the history. I took extensive photos, check it out when I post the photos. I hope the captions has everything I remembered.

We had a fab day yesterday. We got up and took a train to Monreaux to the Jazz Festival. Didn't see any famous folk but saw lots of interesting people. Montreaux is beautiful and the festival is based around the lake. There were all sorts of stalls selling food and nick nacks, anything from clothes to crafts.On top of that there was free music. Had nice weather today. Took a boat tour onto Lake Geneva and then toured Chillon Castle. The castle is much larger than it looks from the outside, with beautiful views of the lake. We finished the day with fish and chips and hopped the night train to Florence. We actually have a sleeper car tonight, which is really nice. It's imperitive that we wake up in time so as not to continue on to Rome.
