We landed in Pisa and spent the night in town. We finally climbed the leaning tower (recommended) and visited other sights in town.

The next day we headed back out to the airport to meet the earthwatch team. We drove an hour and half south to a small village near Populonia Stazione. We stayed in apartments in the village and ate our meals together at the apartments.

You would think something as notable as Napoleons house would be adequately signed but i guess no one really liked him so maybe they just think if they forget about him he will go away. ... to home about 3.00 so it was a full day’s ride. Arrived home worn out and happy with the days different venture. Nap time again whilst in the background another band starts up their warm up. Ah no wait, before nap we needed lunch so off we goes to find a cafe. Reasonably hungry as we hadn’t eaten all day we thought we would try a middle sized meal, still leaving room for dinner.
