... between the Middle age and 19th century. There are also the substantial remains of a large roman amphitheater that accommodated over 25,000 persons.

This was the hottest day of our trip so far. The temperature in Lecce was hovering around 38 degrees. Not a cloud in the sky.

Stewart was quite keen for us to go to a games store that sold “Skylanders”. We headed off in search of that ...

Then got ready to climb the hill to go to Lecce. Met the local guide and wandered around the city into churches and piazzas and saw the roman ampitheatre. After the tour we had lunch with Lorraine and Helen just around the corner from the Duomo piazza and I had a panini with buffalo mozzarella, lettuce, tomato and ...

Fast sail all the way over to Otranto and even had the fun of Dolphins playing at the helm. Busy shipping lanes overnight kept us all on our toes and Eric plenty of time to practise his lights. Winds were so favourable we headed on South to M.Saint Di Leuca still arriving by 3pm in time for a cocktail on shore before getting Ellis already for next early departure ...
