    ... occupation. Again many artefacts have been found and work is still going on. The coast here is very rocky and has a lot of inlets, and a little further on we found a large natural swimming hole surrounded by rock. We drove home and walked round the grounds of the estate. Wally is getting used to the erratic ways of the Italian drivers, who do the most unexpected things at the most unexpected moments!

    ... before Emperor Charles V fortified the city with strong walls and a new castle, when business flourished and most of the buildings which are there today were built.     ... at the pool, swimming, reading and chilling out.
    We did have some rain this morning but it quickly disappeared and the sunshine returned but thankfully the intense heat has disappeared. Monday - Saturday afternoon temp 43c. Today a more comfortable 28c.
    Thats it from Puglia as we head home tomorrow but this should go on all your bucket lists
