If you have been following the blog for the last few weeks you will have spotted the regular pattern of time by the coast with interspersed with trips inland for climbing. We had visited this area back in 2006 and had really enjoyed it. It has some stunning cliffs and gorges high up in the hills at around 1000m above sea level. Although we are high in the hills the day time temperature are still up in the mid 30's so all our climbing is being done ...

One end of this area has been filled with a collection of royal carriages used over the years and, I imagine, today still. The shuttle bus was already at the canal-side so we got on and waited for it to return to the ship. I made myself a hot mocha and we went to the Looking Glass lounge where Bill had a ...

    Sailing to Copenhagen

The calm seas continued throughout the night and we awoke to a mild morning and had coffee and juice and read in bed. As we got closer to the tip of Denmark the shipping traffic increased and, when we sighted the coastline and continued on to Skågen, it was like Rundle Street, with oil and gas tankers, fishing boats and even yachts. Bill went down for breakfast while I had a shower, then I got a coffee and we went to the Cabaret Lounge for the captain's ...
