... they REALLY look after them beautifully - the grass is like a carpet - it NEVER goes brown and it is SO lush!! They puts bells on any animal that might get lost, they fence with only one string (which might be electric - I didn't check, but didn't hear any electricity going through it) - I saw bells on cows, sheep and goats (and apparently all outside cats have bells on to stop them catching birds - mice? Jake has never seen one here - it's too clean!!!) Then, in ...

... just two phrases - Grütze is an informal greeting that everyone uses in the street - even young children would greet me, so polite and hospitable! and danke or danke schön for thank you. I admit, I tried not to make eye contact because I really didn't want people to engage in conversation with me - too scary!!! But I made it back with my Quark, radishes and dark chocolate (which kept me awake last night!!)
