... 8211; so the views weren’t really there. But it was nice to be in the mountains! I can’t remember the name of the mountain we were on, but it has caves you can walk through, and a little church on the side of the mountain using one of the caves, pretty cool! We came back down on the gondola and ate sandwiches while watching the cows with their bells.. Very relaxing. Then on the way home we stopped by an Appenzeller cheese factory where ...

... apparently been trying to call us, but had the phone number of the team's technophobe, so he didn't realise!! They had a bit of a problem with working out where the maps we all had joined up, and following the roadbook backwards was almost as bad as going along it the correct way!! We had a Europe Road atlas in our car, so we gave it to them, on the basis that they give a donation to our charity.

While the boys were getting their hands dirty, Charlotte & I used the last of the light to get a few more shots. We were lucky that the 'Man in a Tie' made an appearance and was happy to pose for a photo for the bingo card! And the shop in the garage revealed some more goodies for photos, too!

Our third stop of the day was our first in Austria. Now I was entering undiscovered lands! Feldkirch is right on the Switzerland border. The old town centre is surrounded by towers, and a castle sits on a hill above.
We explored Feldkirch and a few of its towers. The old town is quite charming with its colorful buildings, trickling fountains, and small shops. When we tried to ...
Our next stop was St Gallen, home of a beautiful abbey with a medieval library and neighbouring by a charming Old Town. We walked around the abbey exterior before everyone went inside, with the exception of Lincoln and I. I have been here before and know it is a very ornate baroque design inside.
Next, we walked to the abbey library which houses the largest medieval collection of books in the world, basically. There was an admission to go in and my ...

Thats the only way I could have explained the thousands of blurry eyed, colorfully dressed Europeans everywhere! I enjoyed watching the scene for a while, but eventually decided to move on.
