... Pass" because it is little used due to there being two lower passes 25km South of it. At the top of the climb is a very modern concrete structure cantilevered out of the side of the mountain. This structure contains pictures and text describing the construction of this pass. A tourist attraction and Wonderfull motorcycling road, this pass is only opened seasonally and a toll of 12 euro is charged to traverse the Pass. Now in Austria ...

Today there is again only one monk, who runs the monastery more as a business, with a farm, horses, restaurant, guest house, vegetable garden and wine cellar. Two clear sunny days in a row. So cool! We met at the regulation time of 8:30 am, all bright and breezy (if not a bit stiff and sore) ready for whatever Patrick had planned.
