... d better call it a day and tuk tuked back to the hotel. In need of a G&T we called up room service. 30 minutes later we were still waiting, so called again. "So sorry, but had to go buy imported gin", says Janey, "local will do" but local is not available. Eventually 2 glasses of gin arrive. Where is the tonic? Oh did we want tonic as well? He went off to fetch. The bill? 19 for the gin, 3 for 2 tonics. That'll teach us! Our litre bottle didn't cost that ...

... employee of the BTS, and she told me to take either bus A1 or A2. (Presumably the "A" stands for “Airport”.) In all of my research on how to get to the Don Muang Airport, nothing was mentioned about any special airport buses. So I was relieved to find that such a bus route had been instituted. Luckily, an A2 bus was arriving at the Morchit BTS terminal just as I arrived, so I didn’t have to wait at all.
