What Happened in Spain Part II

... spent strolling around the city, looking at some of the sights, like the Roman Ampitheater, and an exhibition that was being held in the central plaza of the city. <br> We all split up for lunch and Amanda, Lizzy, Shannon, and I found an expensive restaurant on the coast. Instead of expensive seafood, I opted for the ceaper option of bread. Don't worry though, I had ice cream later to make up for the lack of food I had consumed at lunch. On a ...

... and Cameron Diaz in it. I hope they get a part! Lunch was interesting and kind of like eating in a Chinese restaurant as the plates just kept coming! After lunch we said goodbye to the sons and continued walking and finally ended up back at the ship but not before taking a rest in the Plaza DE Espana across from the ship. When we were there the park cat ladies came by and fed the wild cats who were pretty friendly. Great ending to a very nice day!

Sherry Tasting and the Andalusian Horses

... of the sweetest sherry called "Nectar" for 8 Euro. I really didn&#8217;t like their regular sherry though. They were pretty cool though. When celebrities or royalty come visit, they have them sign a barrel of Tio Pepe instead of signing a guestbook! And they have a family of mice that are sherry connoisseurs. One of the distillery ...

Dancing horses

We got up really early (for us vacationers). It was about 8:15am. We decided we would drive 2 hours to a city called Jerez de la Frontera to see the famous dancing horses of Jerez. The tour guide said it was worth the drive... We arrived to another city. Not as big as Seville, but a city nonetheless. Shae was super excited to see the dancing horses. The show started at noon and lasted 1.5 hours. Shae lasted about 20 minutes - which was pretty good for her ...

It's white hair"<br><br>Another one, Daddy is trying to get out of the parking garage in Ronda. It's very steep. He stalled the car 5 times and someone was behind him.. I'm laughing hard and Shae is laughing. She says, "Daddy you're a knucklehead." I really don't know where she gets that...;)<br>

... few hundred feet, was very picturesque. It took all day to make the trek.<br><br> Next day, we drove in the opposite direction to the coastal city of Cadiz. This became the landing site of all the Spanish fleet returning from the New World with their riches, beginning with Columbus&#8217; 2nd voyage. Cadiz is also the oldest city in Western Europe (1100BC) having been home to the Phoenicians, Greeks ...

... all the vehicles onto the shoulder of the road, both sides of traffic, and out in the middle of no where surrounded by sunflower fields. People were getting out of their cars and we had no idea what was happening. After about 20 minutes we finally saw what the commotion was all about. A very wide truck was coming down the little road with huge windmill blades for a wind farm that generates electricity. After that obstacle we made it to Arcos, Adam was a ...

... centre of my life that was filled with commitment and responsibility. A chill ran up my spine and I left the terrace in search of Jillian and her advice. Jillian's advice amounted to 'do whatever the hell you want to'. Ok. So I had to really think about this. I had settled for a reason, and that was that I had become a little road weary and wanted some stability in my life. Now that I had that I wanted to be free and run about having ...

We arrived to an empty restaurant and inquired if they were even open. The owner and his wife happily greeted us and we sat at a table in the back and read that the place was an old dungeon beneath a Moorish castle. I translated the menu for us with the help of the phrasebook, and thank goodness for that, because we would have ordered kidneys or ...

Well, I definitely acquired a liking for afternoon siestas, long evenings enjoying the wonderful Spanish red wines and beautiful Spanish sunsets, thought the language lessons still need to continue!
