Over 400km later, we arrived at our next overnight stop in La Ciotat. Was a newly built apartment over looking the port. We unpacked, jumped back in the car and grabbed some supplies from the Supermarket. Some clothes washing was on the agenda as well as something for dinner. ... by a mobile tour of the actual port. We then got lunch at a small cafe inside some sort of an outdoor dinning area in a transparent cube. We then continued our day to FedEx Express where we received a nice presentation and tour of FedEx Express and their facility which is set up for loading and packing air freight containers. We then took the train back to Lyon and had a night to enjoy more of the nightlife and culture of Lyon.

Toulon was unfortunately closed due to our arrival on a Sunday. It is mostly a holiday port with a lot of yachts and holiday homes. However the markets were open and so we wandered another market and sampled some local produce. Toulon has some lovely piazzas and so the sightseeing was nice and quite. ... since Today we travelled a short way by bus to the local beach. Very nice beaches full of families with restuarants right on the sand. Just a pity that woman here in France are not very modest especially with this being the more family friendly area. Anyway one of the boys (unnamed) made sure his thoughts were known - I wonder if he will feel the same in a few years time! The water was warm although not as warn as Greece. Sanary and Bardol are lovely little villages reminiscent of Noosa. They were once fishing ports but now it's all about holidaymakers and tourists.
