Decided to take a morning excursion to Cassis even though we planned to disembark a day early in Marseille - turned out to be a great decision as we probably would not have bothered to get ourselves there on our own, & it is a beautiful town! Especially loved the little boat trip to three of the closest calanques. Soaked up the sunshine at a waterside café then wandered through the narrow back streets & through the bustling local market.

... get some fresh fruit and decide to try the coffee. It is still bitter but a little better than in Spain. Since the machine I went to wasn't working a crew member poured mine from a pitcher and didn't leave much room for milk/cream. Maybe it will be better if I can add more milk. Overall not bad and since most people have left for shore execursions it is not too crowded.

We decide to do a little more exploration of the ship ...

... streets, eager to visit the winery. When we got to the top, surprise no winery! WTF! No no, says Laurent, this is a pretty village with scenic overviews.
