... and behold we found a bakery shop and bought a nice bread roll with sultanas very nice and we might have converted Bev to be lover of bread too. We found our way to the city centre. We located where we could catch the "tourist bus" and visit other sites for the next day. ... cemetery of white headstones, apparently the third largest in Flanders, however we didn't stop at this one. Amazingly these cemetery's are maintained by volunteers, and there are many many cemetery's of various sizes. Our first stop was at a German cemetery and memorial site - very different to the allied cemetery! The headstones were flat in the ground and held anything between 3 to 6 people. ... I am sure we emerged more aware then on entering- I think..... Geoff in his inimitable fashion,thought that some of the artwork resembled that of Jackson Pollock who, he was convinced after his early works, was "taking the p***, ie living off his reputation and selling junk.
Eventually after meandering through a large market we decided to wend our way home and collapse exhausted but happy to await the fate of our car in the morning.

... I was not! Don't really get why this statue is so interesting though. They have chocolates and candy in the shape of the mini man peeing everywhere but I managed to hold off..The figure has been repeatedly stolen: the current statue is a copy from 1965. The original is kept at the Maison du Roi on the Grand Place.

Finally we headed to Mini Europe. Had to take the metro which again Sarah was not a fan of. Took about 30 min and ...
