... in Italian, but the town was just another old stone village on the top of a hill, but was as dead as a dodo.... The fact tting on a chair outside the camp office for a that in some places they tend to take the 13-00 - 15.00 siesta, and just shut up shop is a bloody joke. No wonder the country is stuffed economically - the *******s wouldn't work in an iron-lung....
Tomorrow I think we might make Roma,so more from there hopefully. I've just been sitting on a chair outside ...

... was beautiful. Lit a candle for my mom and dad - which I've been doing at each church. Met Mark, Judy and Colette in Casciano (the small town nearest our villa) for dinner. The restaurant didn't open till 19:30 though so we bought some playing cards and went to a bar to drink and play hearts. Then on to dinner which was really good ...

Beautiful day today. Mike and Joy went back to our little market (the employees there are thrilled) and stocked up on more essentials. Today was a "just hanging day" - we didn't even leave the villa. The weather vacillated between sunny and sprinkling. We spent time by the pool enjoying the sun and when it rained we played cards and did laundry.
