Well, we get to O'hare and there is a long line. So, when I am checking my bag in, they can't get my bag to Buenos Aires, the computer system won't let them, because it's a different day or something. So after much trying, they said I will have to leave the terminal and pick up my bag, go to the counter for the airline and get tickets and check my bag!
Horrible.
The flight to Mexico City was ...
... voli e bus in orario.
Mexico City, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico annoiatissima... Packed out with American tourists who fly here or day trip from their offshore cruise liner, the beach is gorgeous but busy with all amenities including sun lounger-side service. We sat there with a margarita and soaked up some rays. The water is like a swimming pool. Calm and really clear. The afternoon passed quickly and after watching some baby turtles being reintroduced to the ocean we packed up and drove in the darkness the four hours back to La Paz.
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico jeznkez... the driver will be waiting with a sign with your name on it." There are only two absolutely critical words in that sentence; they are "turn",and, "left" ! The only problem we faced was that one will find the place where the Ambulances park only if one turns RIGHT! I'll have to mention that in my email to the shore excursion company that provided all of our excursions from this trip. Not to worry -- David, our driver for the day from Impala Tours found us wandering around an alley to the ...
cabo san lucas, Baja California, Mexico tomtravelOkay, I'm changing the format a bit, mostly because it seems that many of the towns we'll be staying in don´t merit a location pin from Travelblog. So I'm jsy going to do periodic entries that cover several days at once. Today I'm in La Paz, which is about 120 miles north of Cabo. I'm not planning on visiting Cabo - too far out of the way, and I think probably too touristy. Not the point of this trip. But back to Coyote Cal's... Monday the 8th This next ...
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico bocalee... Bonita Rosa, they didn't officially have any rooms available but the guy at the desk cut us a deal. It turns out some people had cut their trip short and left early so their room was empty. He wrote our names down as their guests and we paid him off the books for the three night stay. Everyone's a winner! It turns out that Mr and Mrs Rosenfeld had an executive suite booked, which means two bathrooms (shower and bath), two large and comfortable double beds, a long ...
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico papertiger... a city running out of time. After a very pleasant lunch we finished the day with a visit to the Museum of Anthropology where we learnt probably more than we wanted to know about the Mayan / Aztecs etc... Conclusion - Like most big cities, Mexico City is a city of contrasts, run down areas nudge shoulders with beautiful wide boulevards, lined by jacaranda trees and impressive monuments. The jacaranda trees were in bloom and stunning (took one or two pictures!)
Mexico City, Mexico astons... themselves. You never know...but I used my instinct. Apparently some people get their products from the black market at ridiculously low prices. Some people were even making a business selling burnt CD's... on the street of all places! CRAZY! It's hard to judge though...what they are doing is completely dishonest/ a crooked business, but when you figure some have kids who need food in their bellies, you find yourself a little more understanding. It's funny because the ...
Mexico City, Mexico kwagssd311:30am THE ANNOUNCEMNT: We will be on land and in Cabo San Lucas by 12:30! I could swear the ship vibrated from everyone jumping up and down in excitement. I would be one of those people. Dennis, Sue and I litteraly ran down to the shore excursion desk for out ticktes to Los Todos. This is what I have been waiting for for months. A chance to relive the 70's and HOTEL CALIFORNIA. The bus tour took about 1 1/2 hours. The scenery was ...
