    ... The church was built in the name of John the Evangelist who was exiled there for 18 months in 95AD. From here we went down to a cave called The Grotto of the Apocalypse, where John lived and supposedly received the visions which he recorded and are known as The Book of Revelation.     ... s. We visited Gundogen by bus on Tuesday, again a very cheap journey cost us 14TL in total there and back so less than ú5.     ... how easy it is for not so intrepid tourists to lose their way so she scared us into submission!

    Patmos is also apparently the holiday point of many of the rich and famous although the fašades of the houses are misleading. They come here for the peace and calm and go to Mykonos if they want to be seen!
