        ... well as I had a feeling we were in for a rough crossing and sure enough we were.

        With all my rain gear now off I unclip my one pannier and topbox and start the long climb up the stairs to the main reception on floor 6.

        Here a kind lady takes my ticket and then shows me to my cabin which is meant to be one with a view!! Well it sure has a window but overlooking the car deck is not quite the kind of view I wanted ;-)

        ... had told us to go) which turned out to be a beautiful Greek town. I'd love to stay there sometime. There was an enclosed inner dock with fortress walls all around. The sailing ships and fishing boats inside were all tied stern in in the European way and I itched to be on one going out to sea.

        This morning we said goodbye to the last of the group, everyone catching flights to different places or going home and ate breakfast on the rooftop. Gemma and I went to go and see the Acropolis. By the time we had finally found the entrance I decided it wasn't worth hundreds of steps in the blistering heat and Gemma decided to go without me so I waited by the entrance.

        ... Mr. Bean-esque... We also went so see the ruins of Dionysis's Theatre - the oldest theatre in, somewhere. It was getting so hot by now! (Late morning.) Time to say goodbye to Athens and head back to the port of Patras to catch the ferry back to Italy.
