Back to my cabin and I'm keeping a watch out for our port ahead when there comes a knock at the door. I open it and here is a chap saying "Patras, kard" or something like that. I try to explain that for sure I am going to Patras and after a while he leaves. Five minutes later he is back “ticket, ticket” and so I had to go searching in the bin for my ticket!! This must be the first ferry in my life where a conductor has come around the cabins asking for tickets.

We are currently sailing along the Greek coastline with a morning stop at a port before breakfast arriving at Patras around 2pm this afternoon.
We left Ancona at 2.30pm Greece time yesterday. The ferry holds 1800 people and our cabins are front centre with a port hole. There is also an area for campers and Scott ...

Afterwards we tried to have a nap in the car in the shade but it didn't work so we got back on the road for about half and hour to the Cave of Lakes. We pulled into the parking lot and just as we got out of the car and man from the restaurant on the other side of the parking lot accosted us to taste his liquor and have a snack. It turned out he was originally from Chicago but moved here after he came ...

... Garden. A restful spot, herbs and all sorts of mostly medicinal trees, all labelled in numerous languages, a really lovely and informative find. Then the museum, probably the best museum we have been to in all of Greece, a great way to end our education of Greece, myths, gods, and "Ruins"!! Did not leave the camp until 3, as we only had 120km of good road to drive the Patras to catch the ferry to Venice. We got our tickets, then ate dinner in the car park . The ferry ...
