... then off to Innsbruck via the town of Garmish. We had some wonderful country side. After afternoon tea ( they can't make decent coffee but who care) we headed off to Innsbruck, and some more beautiful country side. The green fields or paddocks in my lingo is wonderful. Very little snow on the highest mountain. Had a long time in bus so pleased to be to be off. A clear sunny ...

... and with snow. At one point Scarlett counted 26 'waterfalls' on one stretch of road. The roads here are good, easy driving. We're halfway to Nenzing, our next stop - it is Austria/Leichenstein boarder (rather than Switzerland) but Leichenstein is tiny so we'll pass through on our next leg. Finally I changed plans and decided I would go to Slovenia visit Ljubljana, but then, seeing where the train from Innsbruck would bring me, I decided to stop in Bad Gastein. And see, they have this wonderful youth hostel for a very reasonable price, breakfast included! Youppiee.

From then on, once this hostel was booked, I more relaxed and enjoyed walking in Innsbruck, or reading my recently bought book "Learn German in a hurry";-) time to refresh some grammar ;-)

It was a really pretty ride...... When he came back he was ready to turn around and do it all again with Sue but the bike shop owner (Hubbert) has his fathers funeral today and the shop was not open for Sue to get a bike. We spent the afternoon packing and getting ready for really we don't ...

... alone in a six-seat saloon, which was excellent for viewing the Alps through the large windows. The scenery was lush and green, up and down, granite and copse. I snapped a few photos around Colle Isarco, Italy but they do not do justice. We watched Germany gradually evolve into Italy. Everyone should take such a train trip, in the daytime.

We arrived in Bolzano about 8:30pm. It was still light and we found the hotel right away.
