    ... observatory was actually closed during the day (obviously) but the view from the viewing platform was very nice and it was well worth a trip up for the 3 or so it cost. The church which is attached to the tower is worth a look too, it is free to pop your head in and it is an interesting mix of old and new.

    ... classes start and the grueling studying must begin once more ! I'm sure however that much travelling around this country which includes moose hunting, ice hokey and the bizarre ice skating on the sea will be fitted in. Let's face it, I like my studies but those who know me best also know I take advantage of other pleasures thrown my way :

    ... sandwich. The sandwiches arrived quickly, served on long narrow slabs of black slate, with a side of raw almonds and a Pilsner. No checks either. Just walk up to the case and tell them what you had.

    ... the old town. Walking distance to most features. Many restaurants in immediate vicinity. Had dinner in Italian Rest almost falling asleep between mouthfuls. Great Breakfast in hotel this morning. Did a hop on - hop off bus tour. What a challenge. Ended up spending at least an hour waiting around, changing buses and ending up doing the circuit ...

    We arrived in Copenhagen by train from the airport. Nan, Pop and Aunt Sal set off along the cobblestoned streets to find our hotel. They got a little lost at first but eventually with some help from some kindly locals they found their way to the Mayfair Hotel where we will be staying for the next three days.
