... road that takes you into the mountains to Engelberg. All I can say is wow. Both lakes are absolutely breath-taking. The area around lake Zurich being flatter than that of Lake Lucerne. We made a quick stop in Schwyze. Coming from a country where our architecture is still ˙oung" next to that of Europe I don’t think I will ever stop being in awe of their old buildings and ever tire of European architecture. Off course in Switzerland there are the beautiful Swiss houses ...

... Mt. Titlis, a short drive into town to board the chairlift. Mt. Titlis is at an elevation of 3,020m (10,000ft). Titlis. The sky was filled with clouds ...

When we finally made it to the top of the run you can see right off the side of the mountain down to the town (which is almost vertically below) and on this day we were lucky enough to be able to see both above and below the clouds, I am sure this has to be a very rare thing. The actual run was awesome but very tiring, my ...

Day 2 in Engelberg

We went up 2000 meters (7000 ft) above the town of Engelberg on three different gondolas. One of the gondolas, our first one held 6 people. the second gondola held 80 people. We all stood along with the skiers and snowboarders as we ascended. Then we transferred to the third gondola which took us to the top of the mountain.

There was a five storey chalet at the top of the mountain. From ...
