    was during the walking tour, I was informed about the pastries for 1€. These
    pastries were like a custard tart with fruit on top, custard horns, chocolate
    brownie cakes just to name a few. They were small but they were very filling!

    ... seems to be the title of the figurehead leader of Venice, and the gatherings in San Marco and the history about the masks - the masks were a constant theme. There was only a audience probably around 50 max and this is the number one thing to do on Trip Advisor.     ... and the kids were right next to the ropes, the guy had to throw out to secure the boat at each dock - not ideal, but we got some pictures, got to see the houses on the edge of the grand canal. The kids got tired standing, it took about an hour (or felt like it, the sun had come out and the crowd was unbelievable).

    ... bay to city and walked for hours. Just taking in the atmosphere, looking at shops, food outlets ( hundreds) as well as canals, bridges and the exterior of churches. Wonderful day. Day two, went to Galleria Academia, (free entry as it was a public holiday) which saturated us with ecclesiastical masterpieces.     We enjoyed a coffee before heading back to our hotel. We decided to do our washing now and then venture out again later in the day for a further explore. Further exploring was definitely what we did. We walked and walked and walked until we realised we were lost, well not actually lost just not sure where we were!!
