The island has some amazing restaurants, cute shops , stunning beaches and crystal clear green sparkling water . We spent three days on Elba, driving around ,criss-crossing the island each day, swimming , eating ......returning to our little hotel each night in time for sunset drinks and dinner out - like Napoleon we made the most of our days in exile - t'was absolute hell !!!

Some more train journeys, pretty uneventful, to get down the coast to Piombino and then onto the ferry. Not a little ferry, a thumping three storey job and that meant there were three storeys of metal steps, outside the ship, to climb to gain access to the thing. The Sixtie Chicks are sure getting impressive bicep muscles! Well actually, one of us is, while the other stands, looking pathetic until someone grabs ...
