... far as Strasbourg with our gears getting worse and worse so when a British woman offered to take us to a bike shop we didn't decline! Half an hour and 7euros later we were on our way with a choice of gears...luxury! We had lunch by the canal and decided we didn't have time to explore cultural sites (simon was thrilled) so carried on our journey, we have yet again slightly underestimated how many miles we have to do so tanked 40 ...

It's really bizarre to think that as I write this at 10:55 p.m. in France, my family's only at 4:55 ...

campsite a bit disappointing compared with what we have been at on our travels so far. Not overly friendly, seems more focussed towards French clientele. The surrounds and scenery are beautiful, mountains as far as can be seen. Must be excellent for winter ski season too. Hot still. Summer has certainly hit! ...

... homing may need a little information here. We have a toilet in our little bathroom on-board. It doesn't however empty itself. It needs help every few days or so. Up to now I have been the one providing that help.

The supermarket was incredibly cheap. We bought as much as we could carry and went back for breakfast. Next time we must remember we can actually drive Herman into a supermarket car park to do the shopping.

The pitches at this camp site were all ...
