    ... sat next to a table of 4 youngish people, 2 men, 2 women. Ken and I split an appetizer, they each had their own appetizer. Ken and I split a salad, they each had a salad. We didn't split an entree, neither did any of them. We skipped dessert, they were there when we left, and I, piggishly, image that they each had dessert and coffee. Do I sound righteous? It's just that I'm jealous because they're slim! Can all the walking and steps be their secret??? And let's talk sleeping! ...

    Santiago used the stones the king had given him to make a decision. But instead of doing what the rocks said when he asked them, he continued on his own journey to make his own decisions. The next day he went into a crystal merchants store. Santiago cleaned his crystals and then they went to lunch together and decided that Santiago would work for him until Santiago had enough money to Travel to Egypt.
