When they got home, they were looking at their photos, and noticed a For Sale sign in one of them (that they never noticed when they took the photo before). It was the ruins. Now She had a dream/plan - they talked about opening an albuerge together. Within 1 year, they left it all behind and started the project of building a B&B for pilgrims. Sadly we left Combarro and headed south for the next Ria. There was little bit of wind so we got a pretty decent sail in.

We anchored in one of the first bays, it was quite crowded actually. Being a weekend the beach was full of people - mostly naked people we discovered after settling in. Not because of the sights but due to the swell we reanchored closer to the headland where we hoped there would be less rolling about.

We happened upon the market as the stalls were clearing up for the day. Bought some shell fish and having spent a little bit of money at this one stall, the owner threw in some local crabs for nothing.

When we got back we ventured in Combarro and enjoyed the local wine in some delightful little bars. This is the life!

... br> In the morning we got up at sunrise and then at good light proceeded on to the next Ria - Ria Pontevedra.

After motoring half the way and the wind and tide against us, we eventually got a pretty nice sail in.

This Ria from what we could see through the mist is really something. There's slightly less mussel farms but the the shores are lined with lovely forested hills.

... the train to Santiago. What an amazing place.... so atmospheric and you could feel the spiritualism - there were loads of groups/clubs/whatever on their pilgrimages and the place was just buzzing - maybe because we were there before the siesta hours!!!!

When we got back after a very enjoyable day we moved on to another anchorage (which is another entry).
