    The best hotel in Milan

We have stayed in the Hotel Manzoni before and have always believed it is the best choice in Milan.
The hotel is located in a quiet part of Milan, close to Via Monte Napoleone, a short walk to the Duomo, La Scala, and central Milan.
The metro station is only a short walk away.
The room was roomy, clean, well maintained and very comfortable, with a view of Via Santo Spirito, and a small balcony where we could sit each evening and enjoy a pre dinner drink.

The best part of the hotel, apart from the reasonable price is the staff. The staff are great and are very hospitable, helpful, and nothing seems to be too much trouble.

Hotel Manzoni is one of our favourite hotels in the world. Highly recommended

We have stayed in this hotel previously and have always found it to be a very enjoyable place to stay.
All the staff are very friendly, helpful, and hospitable.
The rooms are very comfortable, and clean.
The location is great - in a quiet street but close to the centre of Milan.
We would strongly recommend this hotel, and we are looking forward to returning to the Hotel Manzoni in the near future

    Thursday September 4th.

Up early as we are planning to travel to Padova and spend the day there.

After breakfast we took the metro to Milano Centrale, and boarded the Frecciarossa which left Milan 5 minutes late.

It was a fast and comfortable journey - we had booked and paid for the tickets and seat reservations from home …

Arose at 8.00 am to a beautiful clear blue sky.
Italy is sending us off with a memory of the beauty of the weather.

At 10.00 am having had breakfast and checked out we were on our way to the airport courtesy of the previously booked limo.

It was a 45 min, ride to Malpensa, where we eventually …

    Friday 12th of September.

Our last day in Milan, clear skies , and a little cooler.

Time for some final shopping - Henry Cottons, La Rinascente, some wine - Barolo, and Barbaresco, then Max & Co.

Dropped the shopping back at the hotel, then went to Brera district for lunch.

Once again we went to Il Kaimano - …

    September 11th Thursday.

We arose at 6.45 and arrived at Milano Centrale, in plenty of time for our 8.25 train to Stresa.

This gave us enough time to enjoy a coffee at one of the station's cafes.

The train - a very modern, and comfortable Frecciarossa - run by the Swiss Railways sped us to Stresa on Lake Maggiore.

After arising, breakfast, and coffee we walked to the Pinacoteca Brera to revisit the exhibition of art works.
