The best hotel in Milan

We have stayed in the Hotel Manzoni before and have always believed it is the best choice in Milan.
The hotel is located in a quiet part of Milan, close to Via Monte Napoleone, a short walk to the Duomo, La Scala, and central Milan.
The metro station is only a short walk away.
The room was roomy, clean, well maintained and very comfortable, with a view of Via Santo Spirito, and a small balcony where we could sit each evening and enjoy a pre dinner drink.

The best part of the hotel, apart from the reasonable price is the staff. The staff are great and are very hospitable, helpful, and nothing seems to be too much trouble.

Hotel Manzoni is one of our favourite hotels in the world. Highly recommended

We have stayed in this hotel previously and have always found it to be a very enjoyable place to stay.
All the staff are very friendly, helpful, and hospitable.
The rooms are very comfortable, and clean.
The location is great - in a quiet street but close to the centre of Milan.
We would strongly recommend this hotel, and we are looking forward to returning to the Hotel Manzoni in the near future

Tuesday 22nd May
The day started cloudy but cleared to a beautiful sunny 22 degree day.
Decided to do some sightseeing and take some photos.
First the obligatory stop at Cova- the oldest café in Milan. Cova can be unbelievably busy in the mornings as the locals take their breakfast with coffee. The staff are incredibly well organised …

Tonight we will be attending the concert in La Scala

We awoke to another sunny day with temperature predicted to rise to 26C.
After breakfast, coffee at Cova and Libby's time at the hairdresser, we set off to go to the Via Spadari and look at Peck.
Peck is an Italian Harrods foodhall. Everything …

Well, to start it off.. The directions the hostel gave we're ****.. But luckily I found my way from the station. It was a quiet little hostel and I was put into a room with a little Chinese girl who could hardly speak English. I spent my first day wandering around, gazing at the amazing shop windows and, without a map, found myself in the middle of the city ...

The artist’s father is the owner of the gallery and he spent time with us talking about his daughter and her art. Quite fascinating—check it out: He was even kind enough to suggest a place for dinner and called in a reservation for us. What a lovely gesture and so welcoming.
