... latter part of the journey was through the Ruhr Valley so much more industrial. We are staying tonight near Brilon which is in a hilly and forested area with a number of saw mills. We are sat looking at the sun drenched vista, sipping tea and planning tomorrow's ...

Yesterday it rained like crazy and I got soaked running from the U-Bahn to Oma's place, which was quite the experience-I ended up in oma's pyjamas to dry off for an hour, which confused oma a lot ;) Off to Ireland on the 20th, which is apparently going to be quite a temperature change, but my Aunt told me that in Cushendun they shoot some of Game of Thrones in the Caves there, so I'll make sure to go and take some photos and then post them here! ...

When we arrive and finally find parking there appears to be a festival of sorts on. Singing and stalls and heaps of people. Its cold and very windy, and just holding of raining. We lunch in a lovely restaurant overlooking the lake. They give us the only English version of a menu however there is still confusion and they bring us the wrong ...

... Allan, Allan" youtube clip of this funny animal calling for Allan is a bit of an in joke with the girls at work, (love my work girls) so we were determined to get a shot of him. He didn't make it easy though, he kept disappearing into a hole so it took some time!

We walked around quaint Bielefeld for a while, had a yummy pasta dinner and headed back to the hotel. David was especially tired after close to 4 hours of driving concentration.
