... brothers and sisters right next to them. After walking about 30 yards a guy came out from his shop with blood on his apron and grabbed one of the dogs by the back of his neck and took him back into his shop. I had to leave quickly because I started to feel sick. I will never eat dog again.
After the chaotic adventure to the market we went to another market that only sold fruits and vegetables. It was about the size of a ...

Busan, Korea Rep. ct_sigchi... I wouldn't have cared. I haven't felt like that since I was a kid...it was crazy. The staff was great though, they all ran around clapping and dancing... You can always count on Koreans to show amazing support.

After I sang though, the fun was just beginning apparently. I was NOT prepared for the next two hours. It was nuts! Yes, TWO more hours!! All of my co-teachers, ALL what, fifty of ...

Ch'oŭp-tong, Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... the resort town of Jungmun, where I saw a waterfall and the spectacular coastline, where there were very nice basalt rock formations and a rough sea. The third day on Jejudo I went to visit a small volcano, the Ilchulbong at Seongsan. This small volcano offered some fine views after a short but steep climb, although the crater itself was nothing special. At some moment here I kind of lost my energy to do much more and rested for a while watching the volcano from the bottom. After this ...
Busan, Korea Rep. mies... each other, the boys with the boys, girls with the girls, and then how they reacted to each other! So funny! But it occurred to me that I'd like to see how big a difference a year would make in their interaction. It was the first time that I might want to stay for another year. I know I haven't been here very long, but I can see that time is going to go quickly. I won't make any big decisions yet, but another year could happen. There's still so ...

And finally, what I'm really excited about right now... Is that it's spring. My route to school has cherry trees lining the street. I'm so excited cause they're all about to bloom. Pictures to come!!! So there's my fun-facts for the day.... I'm sure there'll be more to come....
Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... is brown and the city industrial. What I mean is that a really beautiful suspension bridge is in the background, providing a strange, rather surreal backdrop while swimming. After a quick dip in the cool water we discovered a track that had every 400 meters labeled. I hadn't exercised or timed a run in awhile, so I decided to do both. I ran a 5:15 mile, not bad considering I'm not in running shape! That evening we headed to downtown Busan to check out ...
Busan, Sokcho, Gapyeong, Korea Rep. wjrohde... only the royalty could eat the meal that was prepared for us. There were well over 10 courses and we feasted like kings and queens. During the weekend, we brought up the old buffalo bill impersonation Billy J, Eric M, and Matt A perfected when they all lived in San Francisco. Unfortunately for Eric, it became sort of the joke of the weekend. Eric hilariously commented, "You know, I never thought Buffalo Bill would be ...
Busan, Korea Rep. gajemison... a veggie restaurant downtown which served a semblance of korean traditional food (i'm guessing), i almost exclusively ate western dishes - the main exception to this was korean spicy pot noodles. i'm not sure if i can get across to you the way it feels to distrust everything you order, and the strain it puts on you. it sounds silly but it becomes a huge thing to go through the same depressing process three times a day, every day, because you want to indulge in the culture ...
