Ice hockey
we stoped in Pula to say hello to Marco (old business partner of Dide) and it turned out that there was an international hockey tournament taking place in the collesiem (almost 2000 years old) between Croatia and Russia - what a treat.
Finally, made our way down to Metcovic, just in time for one day of sun on the beach, before the rain - forcast for the next couple of days.
More to follow as i need to sign off now as we need to get the car back to Metcovic.

Trieste, Slovenia, Croatia
... lunch. Ninety-nine percent of Slovenia is land locked, with the exception of the tiny slice that is coastline which we cycled through in about 2 hours. It was beautiful, absolutely beautiful, but brief. It seems that Slovenia got the short end of the real estate stick after the breakup of Yugoslavia. Arrived in Mali-Lonsinj and walked around the harbour to find a campsite. It's an absolutely huge campsite set into the trees and we picked a plot right next to the sea!
First things first, in the sea!! The shore here though is just craggy rocks going into the sea- no slope or soft sand, just razor ...
Malinska snorkelling!
Woke up very early on the campsite (very impressed with my roll mat- hardly felt the bumps!) and went straight down for a swim! It was half 6 and the bay looked beautifully peaceful and quiet (until we started splashing around...)
Armed with our goggles we began chasing fish and having little swims. The water is so clear it is ridiculous!! U can see for ages and even when u go right out (it gets deep quickly) and its about 20 foot deep u can still see the ...
