... at Zum Schiffchen and sat in a nice table near the window. The waiter gave us our menus and we were in awe at the amount of choices we had. We all decided that we would order a big plate of the steak tartare. It was a lump of raw meat, with egg yolk, chili pepper, and a few slices of anchovies. It tasted absolutely incredible and was surely able to hold us down for the rest of our trip.

... and advice, but seriously, we were tired and just want to get to the apartment. So we set off with a map for the apartment in the rain. It was very busy with crowds heading to the Opera but we did get the most magnificent views of the cathedral as we walked past. So we get to the front door only to realise that the nice lady did not actually give us the key. Back I go leaving the other under the shelter of the veranda to collect the key. ...

... 2010! Marie lived with us for 3 months in 2010 and again for a few weeks in 2011 while she was a Rotary Exchange Student sent to Proserpine. Marie has developed into a beautiful, confident and caring adult. Marie moved to Cologne about 18 months to take up studies at the Cologne University and is from all accounts progressing well.

Long cotton pants in summer-time – multi-coloured or dark hides stains. Girls can wear stockings underneath if it’s a bit chilly. They are comfy and cool in the heat but also protect your legs from a bit of wind chill. Only need one pair.
