We left the hotel at about 08:30 am and made our way to the Rialto Alilugano landing stage. The boat arrived on time and weset off....once again in a sea mist but not as severe as yesterday! Carbon copy repeat of a previous experience trying to sail into Portofino - rough seas meant it was too dangerous to tender ashore, so instead we docked in Genoa.

Lots of street vendors and homeless people so we were a little uncomfortable and quickly headed back to the port to check out ...

I enjoyed a good two days off, though the weather was pretty ugly unfortunately. It hasn't been too cold, though I haven't seen the sun in 3 days and it's been raining off and on. Tuesday night I was lucky enough to have a private tour of Genoa with Alberto and a couple nearby villages, Recco and Camogli. Recco is about half an hour from Genoa, where we visited a restaurant owned by an old friend of Alberto's, Quatro Vele, which he has owned for over 40 years. Recco ...
