      ... home. grrrrrr...... so we're down to one camera and my iPhone. Followed a Rick Steves San Marcos Square walk, saw a cool stairway that he refers to as "one of Venice's hidden treasures" And eventually back to our room. It's 10:30 at night now, we're beat, hopefully we'll awaken refreshed in the morning.       We left the Austrian Alps and crossed into Italy and the Dolomite mountain range. The region had once been Austrian but after the Treaty of Versailles in 1919, Italy was given the land but the stylings of the buildings are still very Austrian because it just worked well in the area.       ... a half looking for the place. I am a typical guy and have a hard to asking for direction. Asking for directions becomes even more difficult when there is a language barrier. But I still asked for directions and the guys pointed me in the right direction. Within 15 minutes I had arrived at my hostel. Once settled I took a shower and headed out on the town.
