Barceloneta Boardwalk...Wake up Call~
I am what most people would call a "morning person." Love them (Or hate them), "morning people" are generally known for greeting the day with gusto! Hutzpah! Fanfare! Razzamatazz! (And if you are one of these chosen few, and it just so happens to be before noon as you are presently perusing this blog, then please do feel free to insert whatever * …
Barcelona Spells Soccer F-U-tbol...
Tensions run high. Voices raise. Feet stamp. Fists pound, while hand gestures abound.
To say that the people of Barcelona get "excited" about futbol (American soccer) is like saying that the 13-year-old, angst-ridden, love-bitten drama-queen just “kinda sorta” thinks that this Justin Bieber kid is “cute”….HECK …
Barcelona Airport Action....
Airports. Microscopic blinks. Brief, concentrated glimpses of this macroscopic world, and all those inhabiting it. I have always found them to be fascinating on so many levels. From fashion to finances, being a spectator as the spectrum of humanity colors my scope of sight, is such an eye-opening experience.
In fashion-forward Europe, where …
Just Like the Moon, Barcelona~
Barcelona
I awoke early. Bouncing out of bed, I was eager to get to know you. You slept. You made me wait. I tried to go back to sleep and be patient, yet I felt restless...listless...lost. I am a morning person, didn't you know?
As I waited on you, I had time to think; time to pace the chilled marbled tiles, giving my icy feet time to …

hotel needs a new general manager....staff spend time chatting to themselves instead of helping guests...great location, and some of the staff are friendly, but in general they need a big shake up ....

See It All From The Majestic!
My wife and I stayed for 6 nights. The location is wonderful. Walking distance for ALL major attractions. We spent 6 days sight seeing, shopping, relaxing on the beaches (recommend Sitges) and going out at night. No matter what we did or where we went, it was a complete pleasure to return to our hotel room. Nice size, extremely clean and the air conditioning was great. Staff was very helpful. The roof top pool was just a bonus.
In the Spotlight
I loved the Hotel Majestic. It was located on one of the finest shopping streets in Spain. The hotel was very nice. The roof top provided an excellent overlooking view of the city. The work out room offered the latested equipment and was nice and refreshing from the hot heat of Spain. There are great places to eat right across from the hotel. I would defidently stay there again.
Location, Location, Location.
This hotel by far has the best location in all of Barcelona!!! It's in a very fashionable district and very upbeat!!! I would go back in a heartbeat. The concierge recommendations were great for dinner!!!! I highly recommend
The Worst of five Barcelona hotels
1) We booked online and brought our rez with us, only to be told at the front desk, "The reservation is okay, but I don't know if we have a room." ???? 2) Our room, when we did get one, STANK - we discovered that turning on the air conditioner released a horrible stink of mould. We were told "no other room available." Very seldom-used room, I think. Small and dark, facing....concrete. 3) Our friends called for us in room 913, only to be told, "No such room as 913." and be hung up on!!! 4) We asked for a wake-up call at 8:00 a.m. Never happened. According to morning front desk, the request had never been entered. The final insult! 5) Overall the front desk staff ranged from indifferent to..... totally indifferent. The only genuinely friendly staff were the housekeepers! Fortunately it was only one night out of 10. LOUSY!!
A great time in Barcelona
Stayed in a jr. suite for 12 days in january 2003. Great location and very helpful staff. Had a great time in Barcelona and The Majestic was a big part of that.
Gorgeous hotel & A++ location
Fabulous hotel!! My husband and I stayed at the Majectic for three nights and absolutely loved it. Upon checking in, they upgraded us to a lovely room with a terrace that was the size of the spacious room. The decor was very nice and everything from the furnishings to the cd player in the room to the outdoor furniture was top quality. The service was also great. Even though we were only there for three days, the bellhops greeted us by name each time we entered and exited the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel!
Great location, quiet, worth price
Stayed 5 nights, rooms at back are spacious and quiet. Away from the noisy, crowded, and theft of the Ramblas. Beautiful architecture in the streets around you, good tapas, and elegant restaurants within walking distance. Only 2 blocks from Casa Mila.
Great hotel, lovely service, super location!
We spent New Years 2003 in Barcelona and the Majestic Hotel on the Passaig de Gracia was super, great location, good food. A bit busy, but no doubt a really good value for us. We paid for 2 nights in a suite and got the 3rd night for free. The rooms are comfy and the baths are all marble and have Hermes bath products. highly recommend!
Pefect location
The Majestic is perfectly situated in the Paseig de Gracia, with Gaudě buildings and luxury shopping just outside the door. Nice rooms, good service and a lovely roof pool with view to La Sagrada Familia, makes this the perfect hotel for business og pleasure in Barcelona. And when they have a 3 for 2 deal, it's quite reasonable as well. I'll be back!
