    Best in Surabaya!

Hotel Majapahit is the best hotel I've stayed ever. It's value for money. They have excellent restaurants which serve local, Chinese and Indian food. Hotel is huge with lush green gardens and excellent spa. The staff were too good that they helped me throw a surprise birthday party for my friend upon request.

... boars also appeared to help clean up the scraps and a Gibbon monkey planned sneak attacks to score some fresh fruit as well. Two of my favourite moments were when we got really close to orangutans hanging out on boardwalks close to our Klotok. A male named Atlas was stealing fruit from a boat and eating it on the boardwalk, and Sisty was posing for photos on the dock. Apparently, Sisty has pulled this trick many times before she grabs a tourist and bites them or ...

... Ryan) set off from Singapore to Jakarta on Friday morning. On arriving in Jakarta we found the Merpati Airlines desk to find they had moved the flight forward by 5 hours. Apparently here it's ok to email us the night before to let us know of their scheduling issues. After many attempts to communicate with them we got moved on to another flight with "Sriwijaya Airlines"! We scurried across the airport and through security three times just to find the flight was ...

The first 12 hours or so were quite calm and I had a look around on deck but was soon locked downstairs again - they kept us locked down there for some reason. And then the sickness started - not me thank goodness but all around people were vomiting as the sea got rough. Reminded me of a certain failed deep sea fishing trip once upon a time.

    The beginning of the end

Well, I'll be leaving for Australia on the 22nd. Sadly, that means that most of my trip is over. I'll have three weeks of adventures in Australia and New Zealand, but the time will fly by. Still, I consider these next few weeks the real adventure part of my journey. It's been fun here, but I've been under the care of the people who brought me here. I'm sick of it, time to be out ...

    Sorry for the monotony

... I just stopped and apologized for how complicated it was.

This morning I gave a talk to the english students about college life in America. I like talking to the english students, they can speak well and they can understand everything I say. To give you some info, people here do go to college, but it's really not much different from high school. They all live with their parents (Some are in boarding houses, but not many), and the girls have ...
