      Back in sulmona. Car now getting repaired so with no car decided to go walkabout for a few days while weather hot. Thinking of going upto top of mountain tomorrow....       ... a large market twice a week which is very popular with the locals. Sulmona's key industry is confetti - sugared almonds, coloured and made into flower shapes, ready for the guests at Italian weddings. They are very colourful, and really quite garish, but there are numerous shops selling them. I can't quite see them taking off in Australia!       Beatrice, the bar lady tony is so popular with grabbed me while walking past with Rosie and asked if tony could look at cooker for old lady. Went off in possey of old ladies to her house.
