Beggars are also bountiful on the bridge, they all lie in a praying for money type position with their head down and a cup out stretched in their hands. ... with our picnic rug, pillows, salad rolls and a good book. It was such a beautiful view of the river and all the activity on the river and the Charles Bridge. ... but we pushed through! A few drinks at a small bar before heading back to the same restaurant as last night - it was so good we went again!! Saturday Another hot day forecast of 33. A early morning trip to the local riverside market, there were yummy stalls, including a stall which sold some gf bread & a few cakes and another stall which sold raw gf cheesecakes - delish! ... was raised 22' or 8m over a period of 20 years. The rooms that we walked through were at original ground level and below. The rooms are preserved remarkably well with visual evidence of the different building eras. The water wells, the sewerage wells, the jail cells including the 'hole' are all in very good condition. ... though the tourist season hasn't yet begun, the crowds are already overwhelming. Reminds me of Disney at Christmas.
