We left this morning on time from The Midi Pyrènèes and now headed for 'the' Pyrènèes! About 300km but we knew the last part of the roads would be windy and slower so we gave ourselves 5hrs for the trip. The Motorway through Toulouse and down to Tarascon was fast and efficient. I know - I have been very slack. I have meant to post some news but I don't know - the time flies and I guess I am still assessing the situation here.
My old school friend Caroline and I took 2 days to get here. We stopped on the way at Les Baux de Provence (a medieval village perched on a hilltop), Sete (an old fishing town renowned for fresh fish and oysters) and Carcassonne (another medieval town). We had a great 'Thelma and Louise' trip with lots of laughs. ...

He even gave us access to an area that had been cordoned off and allowed Kate and Roy to get up and close to a carving of Mary and baby Jesus from the 13th century for a photo!
