Carrer Sant Jordi 19 - 21 Pas de la Casa, Andorra
A French movie came on tv the other night. It was the type of movie I really like, except for the aspect that I didnīt understand what the characters were saying. The main characters were two guys in their mid-twenties who were good-hearted but quite pathetic. They had boring social lifes, and they kept hitting on and getting rejected by girls way out of their league. One of them was unemployed. The other oneīs job was as a supermarket shelve-stocker. He placed the spaghetti boxes on the shel...

Today was my last full day in Andorra. There wasn't a huge amount to do. It wasn't snowing, but the wind was so fierce that it seemed like a sand storm made out of snow. I had a great time watching a group of cows grazing in snow up to their stomachs. Other than that I had a walk around town and spent about an hour at a ...
Canillo, Andorra sirsmonkey42... top of the first mountain, he took a little nap while the bus waited for whoever might want to get on before the departure time. As we praddled along towards Canillo I mused about our heroic bus driver, and what he might be like. I supposed his salsa music puts him in the zone in the same was as listening to “Highway to the Danger Zone” made the guys from Top Gun fly well. Maybe when he got done with his route there were women in bikinis with ...

Tarascon-sur-Ariège, Midi-Pyrénées, France marianm... person above is literally in your hands.

All in all it was a fabulous day! Did 4 climbs in total ranging through the 5a, 5b, and 5c levels of difficulty. I wanted to try a 5, but the day went by too quickly. There was one climb that Brain was sweating out for quite awhile, but in the end his determination conquered it. Rock climbing is the perfect blend of challenge and rest in beautiful mountain settings. I may be hooked…

Tarascon-sur-Ariège, Midi-Pyrénées, France 2totango... between France, Spain and Andorra with 3000m peaks rising up all around. Up past charming little villages where all the little homes are made of stone stacked upon one another with only the slate rooves peeking through.

We drove the truck as far up the road as possible, and then even a little farther than we should have. Feels like complete mountain wilderness, but there are ...
Marc, Midi-Pyrénées, France 2totango... is exploring the caves which lie within. Amazing to look at these huge hulks of stone - you would think that they are solid inside as roads and towns dot the tops, but it’s far from the truth.

This cave's claim to fame is the prehistoric art paintings on the walls. They estimate that they are between 13 000 and 14 000 years old! The paintings also span approximately 1000 years as well. These caves were used by Nomadic tribes ...

Pas de la Casa, Andorra gez_skip... down the other side of the mountain, we find The Top 5 Worst Things About Andorra! 1. TOURISTY/NO CULTURE - Andorra finds itself on the "Old Continent," but its buildings are new and ugly and commerical enough to make you want to run away screaming. The mix of nationalities creates an environment with no historical identity you can learn from. 2. TOO MUCH WORK 3. POLLUTION - In a village which sits at more than 2000 meters altitude (6500 feet), you would think ...
Pas de la Casa, Andorra modernoddyseus... he asked the trucker. (You took two beers?) The silly trucker laughed. "No! Yo tomé una, y el chico tomó una." (No! I drank one, and your employee drank one.) The trucker had of course drank two. I just kept quiet, feeling my innocence would justify me, figuring my boss could see past the trucker´s jokes. Also, I kept quiet because I was a bit drunk. I´d only had one sip of beer (honest! yuh´godduh buhleeve mee ... I´luv´yoUUU! look ...
